Chiropractors Statue

Chiropractors work on bodies. Anatomy software is often in 3D. This 3D universe is extremely familiar to them. It is therefore quite natural that the French Association of Chiropractic has called upon F3DF and me to design a 3D modeling of their logo and a flat version.

The challenge was to design a 3D totem representing the logo as well as a flat version for the community of chiropractors. 3D computer graphics allows the creation of objects or concepts in three dimensions.

We then 3D printed in Alumide, which is a strong and flexible material that can withstand some pressure when bent. A mix of plastic and aluminium powder, the surface has a grainy, sandy appearance and is slightly porous.
We used solidity check on Scupteo to see if we can 3D print the totem without problems. The red zones are problematic. As the first version was too thin, we made a more solid one.
3D render in Autodesk Fusion 360 and 3D print in Alumide.
Thanks for watching!
